2010 Season - Week 6

Trading Day 1

23 players were traded away on Sunday as owners got serious with underperforming NFL players. Two players were re-drafted, The Raptors picked up Fire Warriors reject receiver Mike Wallace and Binty Bombers cut Bandon Marshall before re-signing him as Trading Day 1’s Mr Irrelevant. Nine owners made changes to their teams with Johnnie and Cheryl changing over half their team! It paid big dividends for Johnnie but it could have been bigger. Instead of bringing Marshall back he was thinking of picking up Roy Williams who scored two TDs for Dallas. All of his other pick ups scored:- Tomlin gave Binty their first Head Coaching win of the season, Arian Foster scored twice, Deoin Branch scored a TD and Mason Crosby kicked 8 points. In total Johnnies newbies outscored his old fellows by an impressive 20 points. Always meaningless but fun, instant analysis shows that H was the biggest winner (+21) as he finally signed a playing kicker while Marcus was the biggest loser (-19) as the Coach and receiver he cut both scored, his new kicker was on a bye week. Scoring Hall of Fame With those successful changes Johnnie entered the Scoring Hall of Fame for the ninth time as he totalled 53 points. He had to wait late only getting in with seconds left in the week when Chris Johnson scored on Monday Night Football. His ninth visit ties brother Mark and Wayne as the most visits an owner to this Hallowed Hall. Most Popular/Unpopular teams Minnesota and New Orleans proved the most unpopular teams as 4 and 3 people jumped off their bandwagons cutting Favre, Longwell, Camarillo and Childress from the Vikings & Hartley, Thomas and Colston from the Saints. A Raider (Seb. Janikowski) and a Buccaneer (Mike Williams) were signed while CJ Spiller was cut leaving Buffalo as the only team to now have no BUMS representation. On the other side of the street the Jets added 3 players (LT, Braylon Edwards and Dustin Keller) doubling the number of Jets in the BUMS. Atlanta, Indianapolis and San Diego now have 7 players on BUMS rosters, making them the most popular NFL franchises. Cuts by draft round No matter which round you are selected in you can still be cut with Cheryl and Johnnie cutting their first round picks, Marques Colston & Brandon Marshall respectively. Cheryl also cut her franchised RB LenDale White who Denver put on IR. 3 2nd rounders got their marching orders, Brad Childress (Cheryl), Ryan Grant (Andy H) and CJ Spiller (Johnnie). BUMS on Seats We are at HQ on Sunday to see Sky’s strange early game of St Louis @ Tampa Bay and New England @ San Diego. We will be at Johnnies at 6:30pm for both night games, on Monday to see a tough NFC North match-up Minnesota @ Green Bay and on Tuesday to see The Giants @ Dallas in a must win game for the Cowboys. Call if you’re coming.
